Italy

Venice, Pisa

In Italy the first place I visited was Venice, one thing i enjoyed viewing was the grand canal. here i saw one of the canal bridges, and learned that there are no cars allowed in the city. next, i looked around at the houses and businesses and learned about how the whole city of Venice is slowly sinking, due to high water levels and sporadic flooding.
Pisa was the next place on my list, here i visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa, here i learned that the tower leans due to poorly laid foundation, in the beginning it leaned to the south east, but now it leans to the south west. it is located in cathedral square in Pisa, Italy.

Paris: Eiffel Tower,Loire River Valley

In France i visited the Eiffel Tower, one thing i learned is that it was completed 1889, and its highest point is 324 metres in the air. Another thing i learned about the tower is that it has two restaurants one that is 311 feet in the air and one that has its own private lift.
Another place I visited in France was Loire Valley, one thing i found interesting there was the placement of the houses and forts. another thing i found an interest n here was the use of all kinds of different shapes when they build these strructures.

Spain

Madrid,

all seasons in one day

In Madrid i explored monuments and architecture, one of the things i found was, Parque Del Buen Retiro, which includes four things. these thing include a monument for Alfonso XII, the Palacio De Cristal, and the Fountain of the Falling Angel. the second place in Spain that i visited was Valencia. one interesting thing i found in there was the Valencia street circuit. This is the location of the European Grand Prix for seven years. the first race to occur on this circuit was on August 24, 2008. the track is about 5.5 km. or 3.5 mi. long, during this race the drivers cruise through 25 turns, 11 rights and 14 lefts. In my mind Spain is alot more interesting than England and has a lot more to offer.

trip to london

View europe on kgill's travel map.

The first destination on my trip around the world was London, England. London is filled with strangely constructed architectural structures, such as the London Eye. looks like an enlarged version of a Ferris wheel, but instead of holding four or five people in each pod it holds twenty-five to thirty. the gherkin is another structure i visited in London,it is a giant sky scraper that looks like a rocket ship off of little kids movie. London i a very cool place with many points of interest for us tourists.
